At Rise Up Recovery, Peer Recovery Support is at the heart of what we do. Our Peer Recovery Specialists are individuals who have achieved success in their own recovery journeys and now assist others facing similar challenges. Whether working in our homes, on-site at our community center, or actively engaging with our local community, they provide invaluable support through shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment—helping people stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse. They offer peer support services such as sharing their personal recovery experiences, providing encouragement, helping individuals set and achieve recovery goals, and connecting them with resources. Their role is vital in decreasing stigma, fostering hope, and promoting long-term recovery within the community.
